East Detective Division is looking to identify and locate the suspect for a robbery in Richmond.
On September 18, 2014, at 5:40 am, the complainant, a 69 year-old male, was parking his vehicle on the 2800 block of Emerald Street and while exiting his vehicle two unknown males approached behind armed with a handgun. Suspect #2 stated “don’t holler, don’t call anybody, just give me the money” While suspect #1 struck the complainant in his face and left eye, taking $300 from his pocket. A witness heard the disturbance outside and opened the door to see the complainant being attacked but the suspects. When the complainant’s dog went after the suspects, suspect #1 dropped the handgun then fled and was last seen towards Hart Lane while suspect #2 ran toward Somerset Street. The complainant sustained a laceration and swelling to his left eye, and a nasal fracture. He was transported to Temple Episcopal Hospital, where he was treated and released.
Suspect Description:
Suspect #1: Black Male, 6’ 1”, medium brown complexioned, thin build, wearing a black jacket, red baseball cap, possibly a Phillies cap. The suspect was armed with a handgun, which was recovered at the scene.
Suspect #2: Black Male, 6’ 1”, medium brown complexioned, thin build, wearing a light grey hooded sweatshirt, and blue jeans.
